چکیده

In recent years, autonomous solutions in the multidisciplinary field of mining engineering have been an extremely popular applied research topic. This is a result increasing demands society on mineral resources along with accelerating exploitation currently economically viable resources, which lead sector to turn deeper, more-difficult-to-mine orebodies. An appropriate data management system comprises crucial aspect designing and that involves or semiautonomous vehicles. The vast volume collected from onboard sensors, as well potential IoT network dispersed around smart mine, necessitates development reliable strategy. Ideally, this strategy will allow for fast asynchronous access real-time processing decision-making purposes visualization through corresponding human–machine interface. proposed has developed navigation coalmine shuttle car implemented 1/6th scale mock mine. It three separate nodes, namely, collection node, node. approach was dictated by large amount need ensure uninterrupted flow. implementation SQL database server allows asynchronous, real-time, management, including storage retrieval. On other hand, introduces latencies between node two nodes. general, these include sensor latencies, latencies. However, module able retrieve process latest make decision about next optimal movement prototype less than 900 ms. navigate efficiently pillars without interruptions.

Noise variability in underground room and pillar coal mines.

Noise in an underground coal mine has dominant components generated mainly from 3 sources: (a) continuous mining machines, (b) roof bolters, and (c) cars/vehicles used to transport personnel and/or coal. Each of these 3 noise sources also has a number of well-defined sub-sources with their own noise characteristics. Sound level meters were used to collect noise data in the form of instantaneous...

A Systematic Comparison of Different Seats on Shuttle Cars Used in Underground Coal Mines

field study was conducted to evaluate seat designs on shuttle cars. Eight operators R A participated in evaluating seat designs on the basis of perceived levels of vehicle jarring/jolting and discomfort. Researchers also measured the levels of vehicle jarring/jolting. Four basic seat designs were compared on low and mid-coal seam shuttle cars during production operations at two underground coal...

Gas Drainage Improvement in Underground Coal Mines

Effective gas management is vital to the success of the longwall mining in the Bulli seam, in the Southern Coalfield, Sydney Basin, NSW, Australia. The evolution of gas drainage methods and practices are discussed with respect to gas type, gas drainage lead time and prevailing geological conditions. Both underground to inseam drilling and surface to inseam drilling techniques are described at b...

Rock dusting considerations in underground coal mines

Rock dusting to prevent coal dust explosions has been in widespread use in U.S. underground coal mines since the early 1900s. Underground coal mining technology has changed significantly over this same time period, becoming highly mechanized and produces finer coal dust particles which are more explosive. Despite the advances in mining technology, mine-wide dust sampling practices have remained...
